The Town of Wethersfield is pleased to announce that it has officially joined the Connecticut Economic Development Association (CEDAS), the state’s leading organization dedicated to advancing economic development professionals and strengthening local economies across Connecticut.
By joining CEDAS, Wethersfield gains access to a statewide network of economic development experts, training opportunities, and best practices that will support the town’s ongoing efforts to foster responsible growth, support local businesses, and enhance the community’s economic vitality.
“Membership in the Connecticut Economic Development Association strengthens our ability to serve residents and businesses alike,” said Curt Balzano Leng, Economic Development Director. “CEDAS provides valuable resources, professional development, and collaboration opportunities that will help Wethersfield continue to successfully grow in a thoughtful and sustainable way.”
CEDAS supports municipalities through education, advocacy, and the sharing of innovative economic development strategies. Participation will allow Wethersfield to stay informed about funding opportunities, new state programs and emerging trends that impact local economies, while also ensuring the town’s perspectives are represented at the state level.
Wethersfield’s membership reflects the town’s commitment to proactive economic development, regional collaboration, and maintaining a strong quality of life for residents while supporting a vibrant business community.
