Form of Government
The Town of Wethersfield has a Council/Manager form of government. The Town Council sets policy and programs for the community. It consists of nine members who serve two year terms. The Town Manager is a paid administrator who helps implement the policies set by the council. The mayor and deputy mayor are selected by a majority vote of the nine members at the first meeting following an election.
Town of Wethersfield Strategic Plan
The Town of Wethersfield has begun the process of creating a new Strategic Plan and we want to hear your thoughts and ideas. We are collaborating with SBrand Solutions as our consultant in the process and we welcome your input.
The Strategic Plan will set the vision for the Town over the next few decades and provide a clear set of short- and long-term priorities to accomplish that vision. A survey has been created to capture what residents feel are the major priorities in creating this future. We encourage all residents to take 10 to 15 minutes to complete the survey and give us your thoughts on Wethersfield's future. Please spread the word to your neighbors as well.
