The Community Center is a 34,000-square-foot building with a banquet facility, fitness room, gymnasium, preschool, meeting and function rooms. Many recreation programs are held in the building, including a state licensed TLC Preschool program, fitness and art classes, Therapeutic Recreation and Special Olympic programs, Senior Center programs, and summer camps. The building includes the 9/11 Memorial Sports Center, the Senior Center, Wethersfield Community TV and serves as the Town's emergency shelter for residents.
The Community Center is available to groups of 5 to 350 for rental for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, birthday parties, holiday parties, seminars, meetings, gym rentals, etc. The cost of rental is dependent on the particular room needed and the length of time the room will be used.
